Eisenberg is Haunted in The Double Trailer

Jesse Eisenberg is haunted by his doppelganger in the this eerie trailer for The Double. Written and directed by Richard Ayoade (director of Submarine and he played Maurice Moss in The IT Crowd), this has the feel of a David Lynch film – the trailer does anyway. This is being marketed as a comedy so we’re guessing there won’t be Lynch’s oh-so-serious freak-out moments. Or will there? Either way, the trailer for The Double is definitely intriguing. With strange imagery and double your awkward Eisenberg, this could be one to keep an eye out for.

Official synopsis for The Double:

Simon (Jesse Eisenberg) is a timid man, scratching out an isolated existence in an indifferent world. He is overlooked at work, scorned by his mother, and ignored by the woman of his dreams. The arrival of a new co-worker, James, serves to upset the balance. James is both Simon’s exact physical double and his opposite — confident, charismatic and good with women. To Simon’s horror, James slowly starts taking over his life.

The film co-stars Mia Wasikowska, Wallace Shawn and Noah Taylor.
