Netflix Unveils ‘Elite’ Season 4 Release Date Teaser

Fans of Netflix‘s thriller teen drama Elite may want to take note: June 18th.

That’s the release date for season 4 of the hit Spanish series. Netflix made the announcement with a one-minute teaser promo, which doesn’t offer up any footage from the upcoming chapter, but does hint at a few of the dynamics and relationships we’re going to be seeing.

S4 will find the oh-so-constantly-troubled students at Las Encinas in for a new year, with a new director aiming to place the school back on track. Diego Martin ([REC] 3: Genesis) plays the new guy in charge, who also happens to be on the most powerful businessmen in all of Europe. The new characters also include his three teen kids (played by Carla Díaz, Martina Cariddi, and Manu Rios), who always get what they want and will be shaking up the various unions and friendships of those that remain at school.

Unfortunately for some fans, a number of characters won’t be here, including Nadia, Lu and Carla, among some others. Returning characters include Samuel (Itzan Escamilla), Guzmán (Miguel Bernardeau), Ander (Arón Piper), Omar (Omar Ayuso), Rebeca (Claudia Salas) and Cayetana (Georgina Amorós).

This edgy teen series has been quite the hit for Netflix, the streaming giant announcing in 2019 that over 20 million households had tuned in. It’s no wonder, then, that Netflix greenlit season 4 a couple of months before season 3 even kicked off. Similarly, season 5 was given the go-ahead back in February.

Elite season 4 will be streaming on Netflix from June 18th.
