Neill Blomkamp, the director of the 2009 hit sci-fi flick District 9, has just about finished post production on his upcoming film Elysium. Blomkamp told TheProvince.com, “It’s kind of weird that it sits on a shelf and doesn’t come out until August 9th but I think a summer release is fantastic for the film…Elysium is basically done at the end of February. I have some straggling VFX shots that go into April but it’s almost done. The stuff looks absolutely amazing.”
IMDB‘s Synopsis: Set in the year 2159, where the very wealthy live on a man-made space station while the rest of the population resides on a ruined Earth, a man takes on a mission that could bring equality to the polarized worlds.
Matt Damon stars alongside Willaim Fichtner and Jodie Foster will play the villain.
