New Everest Trailer: Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin, Jake Gyllenhaal, & More Tackle the Mountain

Universal Pictures has dropped a big new IMAX trailer for Everest, the upcoming drama inspired by the real-life 1996 Mount Everest disaster.

Baltasar Kormákur (Contraband, 2 Guns) directs what looks like one hell of a dramatic epic here. Salvatore Totino’s (Cinderella Man) cinematography drives home seriously breathtaking mountain scenes, and the massive cast, which includes Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin, John Hawkes, Keira Knightley, and Jake Gyllenhaal, can’t hurt.

Written by William Nicholson (Gladiator, Les Misérables) and Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire).

Yep, we’re excited for this one.

Everest, also starring Robin Wright, Michael Kelly, Sam Worthington and Emily Watson, hits Australia on September 17 and the U.S. on September 25.
