‘Extraction’ Trailer: Chris Hemsworth Kicks Ass in Explosive Netflix Action Movie

Netflix

Action fiends look to have a big one coming up with Extraction, a Netflix actioner starring/produced by Chris Hemsworth and produced by Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo.

The first trailer has arrived for the film, which has Hemsworth playing a troubled badass mercenary that’s hired to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned crime lord. And yeah, things go boom after that.

It’s a pretty exciting trailer, showing off what looks like seriously impressive action; some of those big stunts and nifty camera work bring to mind some of the craziness from the Raid films. It’s cool to have Hemsworth sticking with his Aussie accent, too. This marks the feature directorial debut for Sam Hargrave, who’s worked as a fight/stunt coordinator on a number of big films, including the Russos’ Infinity War and Endgame.

Also starring Rudraksh Jaiswal, David Harbour, Pankaj Tripathi, Randeep Hooda, and Derek Luke, among others, Extraction will be exploding onto Netflix on April 24.

Official synopsis for Extraction:

Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) is a fearless black market mercenary with nothing left to lose when his skills are solicited to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord. But in the murky underworld of weapons dealers and drug traffickers, an already deadly mission approaches the impossible, forever altering the lives of Rake and the boy. An action-packed, edge-of-your-seat thriller directed by Sam Hargrave, EXTRACTION is an AGBO Films and TGIM Films, Inc. production, produced by Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, Mike Larocca, Chris Hemsworth, Eric Gitter, and Peter Schwerin.
