A big new trailer has dropped for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the highly anticipated Harry Potter prequel spinoff.
The new look at the film gives us plenty of new footage, including snippets of the titular beasts and more of Colin Farrell’s villainous Percival Graves. If you’re going to be expanding upon the cinematic Harry Potter brand, it looks like this is the way to do it. We’re loving what we’ve seen thus far. Bring on November.
Directed by David Yates, who’s more than familiar with this universe, having being at the helm of the last four Harry Potter movies.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, starring Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Colin Farrell, Ezra Miller, Samantha Morton, Ron Perlman, Carmen Ejogo and Jon Voight, arrives in Australia on November 17 and hits the U.S. on November 18.
Synopsis for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them:
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” is an all-new adventure returning us to the wizarding world created by J.K. Rowling. Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne stars in the central role of wizarding world magizoologist Newt Scamander, under the direction of David Yates, who helmed the last four “Harry Potter” blockbusters. The film opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
