‘Fatale’ Trailer: Upcoming Thriller Has Hilary Swank Playing a Cop You Don’t Cheat With

Hilary Swank and Michael Ealy star in the upcoming thriller Fatale, which has its official trailer for you to watch below.

The film has Ealy playing Derrick, a successful sports agent whose life is turned upside down after a one-night stand with the mysterious Valerie (Swank). Following an attack at his home, he discovers that the detective looking into the incident is none other than Valerie – and it appears she has much more in store for him than a ‘don’t cheat’ warning.

Yes, it’s another Fatal Attraction-style thriller, although there does appear to be a few more turns than the usual scorned mistress angle. The film is directed by Deon Taylor, whose credits include action-thriller Black and Blue and Dennis Quaid-as-the-landlord-from-hell thriller The Intruder. The script comes from Passenger 57 and Money Train scribe David Loughery, who penned another Fatal Attraction-esque flick with 2009’s Beyoncé starrer Obsessed.

Fatale, also starring Mike Colter, Danny Pino, and Tyrin Turner, will be hitting US cinemas on December 18th.

Official synopsis for Fatale:

After a wild one-night stand, Derrick (Michael Ealy), a successful sports agent, watches his perfect life slowly disappear when he discovers that the sexy and mysterious woman he risked everything for, is a determined police detective (Hilary Swank) who entangles him in her latest investigation. As he tries desperately to put the pieces together, he falls deeper into her trap, risking his family, his career, and even his life. FATALE is a suspenseful and provocative psychological thriller and an unpredictable game of cat and mouse where one mistake can change your life.
