The official trailer has arrived for Fightland, the new British boxing crime drama executive-produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. Howard Charles stars as a former heavyweight champion who returns to London after eight years in prison, determined to avenge his brother’s murder. Fightland Trailer Sends a Champion into London’s Criminal Underworld
The trailer wastes little time establishing that boxing is only the beginning of Duke’s fight. On the night he becomes world heavyweight champion, Duke’s brother, Calvin, is killed in a vicious assault. Duke’s furious response lands him in a US prison, where he spends the next eight years. When he finally walks free, a sinister discovery convinces him that his former promoter, Kingsley Marshall (Nicholas Pinnock), orchestrated the betrayal that destroyed his life.

There is one problem: Kingsley has disappeared.
Kingsley may be gone, yet his criminal empire remains, with his children and wife, Joy (Deborah Ayorinde), left to pick up the pieces. Making matters even more personal, Joy was once the love of Duke’s life.
Duke’s plan is not simply to find Kingsley. Working with a cartel determined to seize control of London’s drug market, he sets out to infiltrate his former promoter’s organisation, dismantle it from the inside and force his enemy into the open.
The Power DNA is easy to spot: ambition, romance and personal grudges are tangled inside a criminal empire where everyone appears to be playing their own dangerous game.
The Cast and Creatives
Alongside Charles, Pinnock and Ayorinde, the cast includes Anita-Joy Uwajeh, Charles Babalola, Tahirah Sharif, Tyler Conti and Richard Pepple.
The eight-episode series was created by Daniel Fajemisin-Duncan and Marlon Smith, with Power and BMF creatives Damione Macedon and Raphael Jackson Jr. serving as showrunners. Peaky Blinders director Otto Bathurst directs and executive-produces the opening two episodes.
When Will Fightland Premiere?
Fightland premieres in the US on July 31 on Starz, with episodes released weekly. Australian viewers can stream the series from August 1, only on Stan.
