The official final trailer has been released for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and it’s a doozy. As you know, this highly anticipated sequel is set ten years after Rise. Caesar and his fellow apes live in peace in the forest, but a major clash with the humans is inevitable. The drama is at an all-time high here, with the trailer showcasing what looks to be quite a dark chapter in this ultimately gloomy story. Not only must Caesar deal with war-hungry humans, like Gary Oldman’s Dreyfus, but there seems to be issues with certain apes, like Toby Kebbell’s scarred Koba. We’re given snippets of the climactic battle too, which looks suitably epic. Underneath the trailer you can find a recently released international poster for the film.
Starring Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Keri Russell, Gary Oldman, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Kirk Acevedo, Toby Kebbell, Enrique Murciano, and Judy Greer.
Official synopsis for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes:
A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
