Finally, the first trailer for Finding Dory is here.
Released exclusively via Ellen, since Ellen Degeneres voices the titular character, the first trailer sees the return of Nemo, his father Marlin, and of course Dory, the forgetful blue tang fish. The sequel tell of what unfolds after Dory remembers her family.
Finding Nemo was a huge hit for Pixar, earning over $936 million worldwide and taking home an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. It’s somewhat surprising that it has taken around thirteen years for a sequel to come along, but we’re not complaining. Along with many, many others, we’re in line, ready to catch up with our beloved underwater buddies.
Finding Dory, featuring a voice cast that also includes Diane Keaton, Eugene Levy, Ed O’Neill, Idris Elba, Dominic West, Kaitlin Olsen, Willem Dafoe, and Ty Burrell, will be released in Australia next year on June 16 and in the U.S. on June 17.
