Take a look at the trailer for Frank & Lola, an upcoming drama-thriller starring Michael Shannon and Imogen Poots.
Shannon plays Frank, a chef who sparks up a passionate, sudden fling with Lola (Poots). It’s all going great, until a man from her past comes into the picture, pushing him to question where his trust lies and whether she’s playing him for a fool. The fact that he’s a little obsessive and possessive certainly can’t help matters.
This looks like a solid little feature debut from short film writer-director Matthew Ross. Early reviews are quite good, commending Shannon, Poots, and the film’s tightly structured, atmospheric exploration of control within a relationship. And it’s nice trailer, too. We’re in.
Frank & Lola, also starring Justin Long, Rosanna Arquette, Michael Nyqvist, Suteara Vaughn, Alex Lombard and Emmanuelle Devos, will be hitting US cinemas on December 9.
