The official trailer for G20 has landed, offering a first look at Viola Davis in action as the President of the United States. Take a look above.
The Prime Video action-thriller has Davis playing U.S. President Danielle Sutton, who becomes the primary target after the summit in Cape Town comes under siege by hostile forces seeking economic control. With her family and world leaders in danger, the combat veteran turned POTUS must evade capture, outthink her attackers, and fight back.

The cast includes The Boys star Antony Starr as the baddie, Rutledge, Anthony Anderson as Derek Sutton, Marsai Martin as Serena Sutton, Ramón Rodríguez as Agent Manny Ruiz, Elizabeth Marvel as Joanna Worth, Sabrina Impacciatore as Elena Romano, and Douglas Hodge as Oliver Everett.
“This is Viola Davis as you’ve never seen her—heroically kicking tons of ass in a global thrill ride,” said director Patricia Riggen, whose credits include The 33, Miracles from Heaven, and episodes of series such as Jack Ryan and Dopesick. “With G20, I wanted to make the kind of classic, edge-of-your-seat action film that I’ve always been such a fan of, but one that draws on the high stakes of our modern and technologically advanced world we live in. I hope to give audiences an experience that will captivate them from start to finish.”
The film is penned by White Boy Rick scribes Logan Miller & Noah Miller and Caitlin Parrish (Supergirl) & Erica Weiss. Logan and Miller created the story. Davis also serves as a producer alongside Julius Tennon and Andrew Lazar.
G20 will be streaming on Prime Video from April 10th.
