‘Game of Thrones’: Go Behind the Scenes of Season 8, Episode 3’s Huge Night Battle

A fantastic 40-minute behind-the-scenes look at episode 3 of Game of Thrones‘ final season has been released, showcasing the epic undertaking that was bringing this night war to life.

“Put it this way: I never, ever want to do that again,” laughs director Miguel Sapochnik. He’s referring to the 11 weeks of night shoots that had a massive cast, a huge number of extras and stunt people, massive sets, a tonne of make up and prop work, and so. much. more working in unison to deliver epic television. It was a logistical nightmare, but oh-so worth it.

The making-of vid below goes into various big moments from the episode, including the final blow delivered by Arya (Maisie Williams). There’s plenty of behind-the-scenes action to enjoy, along with interview snippets with cast and crew. What a production. What a show.
