‘Game of Thrones’ Season 8, Episode 4 Images Tease the Aftermath of the War at Winterfell

HBO

There’s little time for mourning…

No surprise there’s a big clean up in order after the mayhem and huge body count that was episode 3 of Game of Thrones‘ final season. The Long Night saw the Night King arrive at Winterfell with his army of white walkers, giving many of our favourite characters one hell of a fight. Thanks be to Arya (Maisie Williams), who came in with a surprise ultimate win.

HBO has released a number of images from episode 4. “The Battle of Winterfell is over and a new chapter for Westeros begins,” reads the succinct synopsis for the next episode. The images show a period of mourning and reflection that those at Winterfell will be going through, as flames are used to help remove the many, many corpses. And then it’s on to King’s Landing, where Cersei (Lena Headey) awaits with her now expanded army.
