‘Game of Thrones’ Season 8 Teaser Trailer Confirms Premiere Date and Has Starks Facing the Cold

The end of Game of Thrones isn’t far away.

That’s right, it’s felt like an age, but the final season of HBO‘s hit fantasy series Game of Thrones is set to kick off on April 14. HBO has released a teaser trailer, and while it doesn’t obviously give up much in the way of plot, it still does its job: drum up that already fever-pitch excitement.

Check out Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) as they make their way through the crypts of Winterfell. Certain voices from the past are heard as their flames shine upon certain statues of the fallen… and then they come to three statues of themselves. Some are speculating that Snow may outlive the Stark sisters, since his statue depicts him in older form. And then there’s the fact that Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) isn’t there. Ponder away…

Get ready: the first episode of Game of Thrones‘ six-episode final season will be airing April 14.
