As you’d expect, Gen V isn’t about to start pulling any punches in its sophomore season. The newly released full trailer above, unveiled during the show’s SDCC 2025 panel, finds Godolkin University in a darker place than ever.
Marie (Jaz Sinclair), Jordan (London Thor and Derek Luh), and Emma (Lizze Broadway) are back after surviving the Woods, still reeling from trauma and forced to share space with Cate (Maddie Phillips) and Sam (Asa Germann), now being painted as campus heroes.

There’s a new dean in town — played with unsettling calm by Hamish Linklater — and he’s pushing a brutal new vision for the school. A mysterious secret program is being revived, one that dates back to the founding of God U, and it may reshape the balance between humans and supes. Somewhere in the middle of it all is Marie, once again caught in the middle of a conspiracy far bigger than her.
Returning Faces and Surprising Cameos
The trailer confirms that several The Boys characters will appear this season, including Erin Moriarty’s Starlight, who pulls Marie from a mysterious facility. Chace Crawford’s The Deep and Nathan Mitchell’s Black Noir are also along for the ride, further stitching together this increasingly interconnected world.
A brief flash of a file on Andre nods to the tragic loss of actor Chance Perdomo. His father, Polarity (Sean Patrick Thomas), is now a series regular, likely carrying emotional weight across the season. Also joining the cast is Ethan Slater as Thomas Godolkin — the founder of the university whose legacy may not be as noble as the school song suggests.
A New War Brews
It’s clear that war is heating up both on and off campus as Homelander’s reign grows stronger. The students are torn between partying and survival, all while secrets, lies, and experiments begin to close in. And somehow, Marie remains the key to it all.
Gen V season 2 premieres on Prime Video with a three-episode launch on September 17. Weekly episodes will follow, wrapping up with the finale on October 22.
