The first clip has been released from the upcoming Ghostbusters remake.

Much has been said about the severely negative buzz that’s been handed out to the film prior to release, with trailers generally being panned for their awkward tone and lack of humour. Unfortunately, this clip doesn’t fare too well either.

Director Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, The Heat, Spy) has previously said that his films, “for some reason, are really hard to do trailers for, because my comedy all comes from context, really.” He may have a point, considering his previous hits had relatively poor trailers and ended up being decent comedies. Still, we’ll see if that’s the case here come release time.

Ghostbusters, starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Chris Hemsworth, will arrive in Australia on July 14 and hits the U.S. on July 15.
