Vanessa Hudgens is certainly trying to lose that “good girl” image she may have had in her Disney produced High School Musical efforts. After decidedly more “out there” roles in Spring Breakers and The Frozen Ground, the actress is playing a troubled teen mother in Gimme Shelter. The first trailer for the film definitely showcases her passionate performance as a pregnant 16-year-old who runs away from home. Rosario Dawson also sheds her glamorous sides to play her drug-addicted mother. James Earl Jones and Brendan Fraser co-star.
