The first trailer has been released for Grizzly, an upcoming horror-survival film about a group of people being stalked by a killer grizzly bear. We hadn’t heard much about this picture until this trailer came out, and we’re not too sure whether or not it’s a remake of the 1976 horror film of the same name, but this looks kind of fun. The Grizzly trailer provides a look at what could be a bloody and (hopefully) entertaining film, which has a surprisingly good cast. Billy Bob Thornton, James Marsden and Thomas Jane lead the group, and it’s clear to see from the image above that Bob Thornton won’t be leaving unmarked. Let’s be honest, it all looks pretty silly, but, assuming the effects stand up alright, we’re hoping for some gory, old-school fun. Directed by David Hackl, who previously helmed Saw V.
Grizzly, originally titled Red Machine then Endangered, also stars Piper Perabo, Scott Glenn, and Adam Beach.
Synopsis for Grizzly:
The pic centers around two estranged brothers (Marsden, Jane) who reconcile on a camping trip with their girlfriends. Once in the remote wilderness, however, things go horribly awry when they are attacked and relentlessly stalked by a horrifying grizzly bear — the Red Machine.
