We don’t have too long until the next film from Joel and Ethan Coen hits cinemas, and we’ve got two featurettes and clips to further whet that appetite.
The Fargo and No Country for Old Men filmmakers tackle the Golden Age of Hollywood with Hail, Caesar!, a star-studded comedy set on a single day in the life of a studio fixer who has a major problem to fix when Hollywood star Baird Whitlock (George Clooney) disappears.
The latest Coens outing can certainly be placed in their more audience-friendly, comedic group of films, although of course their darker mystery-thriller elements are hinted at. Basically, it looks delightful. As the two featurettes and two clips below (including a look at Channing Tatum’s musical number) show, we should be in for a damn good time.
Hail, Caesar!, also starring Josh Brolin, Alden Ehrenreich, Ralph Fiennes, Jonah Hill, Scarlett Johansson, Frances McDormand, and Tilda Swinton, opens in the U.S. on February 5 and Australia on February 25.
