“The first female President of the United States is not going to keep her mouth shut.”
Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) has moved into the big job with fists at the ready, and God help whoever is standing in her way. That being said, the wolves are circling. Take a look at the full trailer Netflix has dropped for the upcoming season of House of Cards, marking the first chapter without Kevin Spacey and serving as the close of the series.
The debate is still on as to whether it’s a good idea to have a Francis Underwood-less season of the series, but this does ultimately make sense. Netflix’s decision to fire Spacey following the accusations was a no-brainer, and it’s no surprise that they would want to offer fans an ending to one of their key shows. Francis’ fate, by the way, was well and truly confirmed with that teaser released in September. Fingers crossed this wraps up the series, which has hit greatness in its five-season run thus far, with a satisfying conclusion.
We’ll find out when the 6-episode final season, which brings back Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Patricia Clarkson, Constance Zimmer, Derek Cecil, Campbell Scott and Boris McGiver, and brings in Oscar nominees Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear, arrives on 2 November.
