Watch: Hugh Jackman Has a NY Police Officer Deliver Ryan Reynolds a ‘Deadpool 3’ Pitch

Wolverine in Deadpool 3. That’s what the people want!

In another chapter of their hilarious ongoing bromance/feud, Hugh Jackman has decided to get a little help from the law to deliver Ryan Reynolds what he calls “incredibly smart career advice.” The Aussie star hit social media with a first-person video shot in New York, where he gets friendly Officer Dobkowski to repeat a pitch he had made off camera.

“Hey, Ryan. You gotta get this guy [Jackman] in Deadpool 3 – even if it’s for a ten-minute cameo,” Officer Dobkowski says in his message to camera. “That movie would be so cool, so great. It will blow the box office!”

And if Reynolds doesn’t comply, then he may find himself with a bit of a penalty to pay.

Fans have been begging for a Wolverine-Deadpool team-up for years now. While Jackman officially hung up the claws in grand style with 2017’s acclaimed Logan, there, of course, remains the chance of a cameo down the track. And with X-Men now under the Marvel umbrella thanks to Disney’s acquisition of Fox, there’s even the possibility that Jackman could one day be joining Deadpool in the MCU! Okay, that’s a huge MAYBE, but we can dream, dammit.

Deadpool 3 is being written by Bob’s Burgers scribes Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin and Wendy Molyneux, with Reynolds overseeing development. Importantly, it’s confirmed to be the character’s introduction to the MCU. Plus, even under the Disney roof, they’re apparently going to stick with the R rating synonymous with Deadpool thus far.
