A second season of Hunters is officially on the way.
Amazon Studios has ordered season 2 of the thriller drama series, which comes from creator David Weil and has Jordan Peele among its executive producers. Al Pacino, Logan Lerman and Jerrika Hinton were among the cast of the first season, telling the story of a diverse band of Nazi hunters living in 1977 NYC who discover that Nazi war criminals are conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the United States.
“I am beyond grateful to Jen [nifer Salke, Head of Amazon Studios] and the Amazon family for their continued extraordinary support of Hunters,” Weil said in a statement. “Alongside our magnificent cast, incredible crew, and brilliant writers and producers, I am more eager than ever to share the next chapter of the Hunters saga with the world.”
Said Salke: “With Hunters, David Weil’s bold vision and fearless imagination powered a thrilling, twisty, action-packed first season that engaged Prime Video customers around the world. We are thrilled that David, Jordan and the Hunters will be back with us for more.”
The first season of Hunters stirred up a bit of controversy due to its subject matter and its handling of the Holocaust. The show received mixed to positive reviews, with 7.2 from IMDb users and a 64% score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
