Guy Ritchie has dropped the official trailer for In the Grey, his upcoming action film led by Jake Gyllenhaal, Henry Cavill, and Eiza González. Watch the trailer above, then read on for more on what ever-busy Ritchie has lined up this time.
A Billion-Dollar Heist With Guy Ritchie Energy
In the Grey follows a covert team of elite operatives sent to recover a billion-dollar fortune stolen by a ruthless despot. Gyllenhaal, Cavill, and González make up the core trio at the centre of the mission, with González positioned as the sharp operator helping guide the job. Naturally, what starts as a near-impossible mission soon escalates into something much messier.

Rosamund Pike also appears in the trailer, asking González’s character, “You think you can recover it?” The answer: “You know I can.”
The trailer leans hard into the sort of slick, fast-talking mayhem audiences have come to expect from Ritchie. If you’re already on board with Ritchie’s particular brand of slick chaos, this looks like it should hit the spot.
Supporting Cast, Long Road to Release, and U.S. Opening Date
Alongside the lead trio, In the Grey also stars Rosamund Pike, Fisher Stevens, Kristofer Hivju, Emmett J. Scanlan, Jason Wong, Michael Vu, and Carlos Bardem.
The film also marks another collaboration between Ritchie and each of its three leads. Excluding In the Grey, Cavill has previously worked with the filmmaker on The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, González teamed with him for The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and Fountain of Youth, and Gyllenhaal previously starred in The Covenant.
The film has been a while coming. It was first announced back in 2023 and shot in Tenerife, with production later continuing under an interim agreement during the SAG-AFTRA strike. It had initially been set for an earlier release window before being delayed as post-production continued.
Now, after a fairly long wait and several other Ritchie projects in between, In the Grey is finally on the way. The film opens in U.S. cinemas on May 15.
