Take a look at two clips and two posters released for Insidious: Chapter 3, the upcoming film in the horror franchise that will see writer-actor Leigh Whannell making his directorial debut.
Set before the haunting of the Lambert family in the first film, Chapter 3 tells of how psychic Elise Rainer (Lin Shaye) helped a teenage girl (Stefanie Scott) who has become the victim a dangerous supernatural entity. Dermot Mulroney plays the girl’s father.
James Wan directed the first two films with Whannell on writing duties, so it’s going to be interesting to see if Whannell’s directorial stylings are similar to his filmmaking buddy. The two also brought us the Saw franchise and the creepy-dolls outing Dead Silence.
Insidious: Chapter 3 hits the U.S. on June 11 and Australia on July 23.
