Characters Unite for a High-Stakes Mission
Created by Simon Kinberg (Deadpool, X-Men: Days of Future Past) and David Weil (Citadel), Invasion has, until now, told its story through separate perspectives across different parts of the world. Season 3 marks a major shift, finally bringing these characters together for one unified fight against the alien threat.
“From the start of the series, I was always planning to eventually bring the main storylines together,” Kinberg told Collider. “We got a little taste of it last season, but this is the culmination of that, where our heroes are all brought together to go on a desperate ‘hail Mary’ mission to save the planet. This season is as much about them having to survive each other as them having to survive the aliens and elements.”
The new season sees the arrival of the so-called apex aliens, whose deadly tendrils are rapidly spreading across the planet. To stop them, the characters must infiltrate the alien mothership — a mission that will push them to their physical and emotional limits.
Exploring the Alien World Like Never Before
Kinberg promises Season 3 will be the most intense instalment yet. “It’s the most singular, driving story we’ve had, since it’s really one big mission to the alien mothership. And it’s the most alien-heavy season where we go deep inside their world to understand who they really are,” he said.
Returning Cast and New Faces in Invasion Season 3
The returning ensemble includes Golshifteh Farahani, Shioli Kutsuna, Shamier Anderson, India Brown, Shane Zaza, and Enver Gjokaj. Erika Alexander joins as a new series regular. As with past seasons, the show’s international scope continues, unfolding across multiple countries and cultures.
Release Date and Episode Schedule
Season 3 spans 10 episodes, premiering on Apple TV+ on August 22 with the first episode. New episodes will arrive weekly on Fridays until the finale on October 24. Seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream now for those looking to catch up before the invasion escalates.
