Take a look at the atmospheric first trailer for It Comes at Night, a buzz-worthy horror film starring Joel Edgerton, Riley Keough and Carmen Ejogo.
Talk about mysterious. If you had no knowledge of what the film is about, and didn’t read the synopsis below, you’d still be in the dark after this creepy and enticing teaser trailer. And that’s by no means a bad thing.
It Comes at Night, directed and written by Krisha helmer Trey Edward Shults, tells of a family that have secured themselves within a desolate home as “an unnatural threat” terrorizes the world. The father has established a certain order with his wife and son, but that’s all about to fly out the window with the arrival of a young family looking for safety.
There’s no telling which route this brooding film could go, and that’s gotten me pretty hyped. Add Edgerton to the mix and I’m already in line. Fingers crossed.
Also starring Christopher Abbott, Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Griffin Robert Faulkner, It Comes at Night is scheduled to open in the US on August 25.
