Star Wars: Episode VII news is certainly hard to come by, with J.J. Abrams and co. keeping a typically tight lid on the production. Well, not only has J.J. Abrams released a video unveiling an X-Wing Starfighter that is being used in the film, he’s made sure that it’s for a damn good cause.
The special video message comes from the set of Star Wars: Episode VII, and it sees Abrams announcing the creation of Star Wars: Force for Change. This initiative from Disney and Lucasfilm, in collaboration with Bad Robot, has been created to raise funds and awareness for UNICEF’s Innovation Labs and its innovative projects benefitting children in need. Apart from the much-needed help that you’ll be giving to those less fortunate, the studios have made sure that there are some great incentives to entice you to donate. By pledging as little as $10 through the Omaze fundraising platform, any eligible supporter will be automatically entered for a chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Check out the details of the major prize under the video.
The Star Wars: Force for Change Grand Prize includes:
• Airfare and accommodations to London for one winner and a guest
• Behind-the-scenes access on the closed set of Star Wars: Episode VII as VIP guests of J.J. Abrams
• Winner will have the opportunity to meet members of the cast
• Winner and their guest will then be transformed by makeup and costume teams into a Star Wars character and filmed for a scene in Star Wars: Episode VII
