Prime Video has unveiled the official trailer for Jackpot!, an upcoming comedy led by John Cena and Awkwafina.
From director Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, Spy, A Simple Favor), Jackpot! is set in a near-future California, where the state has introduced a high-stakes ‘Grand Lottery.’ The twist? To claim the multi-billion dollar prize, one must eliminate the winner before sundown. Katie Kim (Awkwafina), a newcomer to Los Angeles, inadvertently finds herself holding the winning ticket. As the clock ticks and danger looms, Katie must survive a relentless pursuit from determined jackpot hunters.
The cast includes Ayden Mayeri, Donald Elise Watkins, Sam Asghari, Murray Hill, Simu Liu, and Sean William Scott. The screenplay was written by Rob Yescombe, a video game scribe whose credits include The Division, Crysis 2, and Haze. His previous feature credit is Netflix sci-fi film Outside the Wire, which he co-wrote.
