Jennifer Aniston has entered negotiations to star in What Alice Forgot, an adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s bestselling novel.
Adapted for the screen by Shauna Cross, whose screenplay credits include Whip It, What to Expect When You’re Expecting, and last year’s If I Stay, What Alice Forgot tells the story of a woman who wakes up from a head injury believing she is age 25, and in love with both her husband and her job. Unfortunately for her, she’s actually 40 and living a life that isn’t exactly what she had imagined.
The plan was that director David Frankel (The Devil Wears Prada, Marley & Me) would be at the helm of What Alice Forgot, but he has since dropped off. The hunt is now on for a new director.
Next up for Jennifer Aniston is the war drama The Yellow Birds, also starring upcoming Cyclops Tye Sheridan, and Mother’s Day, a comedy co-starring Julia Roberts, Kate Hudson, Timothy Olyphant, Britt Robertson, and Jason Sudeikis.
