Jennifer Lawrence is set to reteam with her Hunger Games: Mockingjay director on a biopic to be produced by James Cameron.
The Wrap is reporting that Francis Lawrence will be directing the Oscar-winning actress in The Dive, which will tell the true story of freedivers Francisco “Pipin” Ferreras and his wife Audrey Mestre.
Lawrence will be playing Mestre, who tragically died trying to beat her freediving record of 557.7 feet with one breath of air.
Cameron filmed a tribute that Ferreras paid to his late wife, which saw the widower diving to the same depth.
Screenwriter Dana Stevens, known for her work on City of Angels, For Love of the Game and Safe Haven, has apparently penned the most recent draft of the screenplay.
