Jerry Stiller has passed away at the age of 92.
The actor and comedian’s son, Ben Stiller, confirmed the sad news on social media, sharing that his father had passed from natural causes.
“He was a great dad and grandfather, and the most dedicated husband to Anne for about 62 years,” Ben posted. “He will be greatly missed. Love you Dad.”

Stiller had a long and memorable career in the world of comedy. In the ’60s, he and his wife Anna Meara were the comedic duo Stiller and Meara, a double act that would prove successful in night clubs and television for years – including 36 appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show. Anna Meara passed away in 2018 at age 85.
Many will of course remember Stiller’s role in Seinfeld as George Costanza’s father, Frank, an embittered, explosive, hilariously passionate man who would always make his son’s life that extra bit harder. Stiller always put in one hell of a performance on the popular sitcom, often, if not always, stealing the scenes he was in.
“He was perhaps the kindest man I ever had the honor to work beside,” tweeted Jason Alexander, who played George on Seinfeld. “He made me laugh when I was a child and every day I was with him. A great actor, a great man, a lovely friend.”
