The next cinematic superhero universe is upon us.
Okay, not really, but I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t want to see more, much more, of this delighful silliness.
Meet Muscle Man, Lucky Lad, Color Kid and Laser Lass, a few members of The Terrific Ten, a comic written and illustrated by a nine-year-old Jimmy Kimmel. As part of the host’s birthday celebration episode, Ben Affleck surprised him by bringing out director J.J. Abrams (Star Trek, Star Wars: The Force Awakens), who in turn surprised him with a faux trailer that brings his childhood creations to life.
A number of big names took part in the amusing bit, including Jennifer Aniston, Zach Galifianakis, Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, Jon Hamm, and yes, Matt Damon.
Affleck is of course promoting his very own superhero picture, Justice League, which arrives in Australia on November 16 and opens in the US on November 17.
