A fantastic new trailer has been released for Joy, the latest David O. Russell-directed picture starring Jennifer Lawrence.
Lawrence plays real-life successful entrepreneur Joy Mangano, inventor of the “Miracle Mop” and President of Ingenious Designs, LLC, in this drama-comedy about a woman determined to realise her business despite a road filled with betrayal and heartbreak.
Lawrence has proven herself in some solid performances in the past, with O. Russell’s Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle showing off two fine turns. The actress looks to have another strong role here, one that will most likely see her in the spotlight again come awards season.
Joy, also starring Robert De Niro, Bradley Cooper, Edgar Ramirez, Isabella Rossellini, Diane Ladd, and Virginia Madsen, will be released in the U.S. on December 25 and in Australia on December 26.
