What a day for trailers. Thanks to Comic-Con, we now have our first look at the upcoming Justice League movie.
The film doesn’t open until November next year, but there’s plenty of footage on offer in the special trailer Warner Bros. unveiled at Comic-Com.
Following the events in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) heads on a mission to assemble a team to stop “an assault of catastrophic proportions.”
Having Zack Snyder at the helm again may have some worried, but the footage could provide some confidence. Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen/The Flash looks to be a standout, injecting levity and laughs, and Jason Momoa’s Aquaman is decidedly badass.
Justice League, also starring J.K. Simmons, Willem Dafoe, Amber Heard, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons and Henry Cavill, hits the U.S. on November 17, 2017.
Synopsis for Justice League:
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
