The first trailer for Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur: Legend of the Sword was unveiled at Comic-Con, and we’ve got it right here for your viewing pleasure.
Starring Charlie Hunnam as the legendary character, this new version looks to be packing in Ritchie’s slick, kinetic direction and a mash-up of grit and hyper mysticism.
The plot tells of Arthur, a man who was robbed of his birthright as a child when his father was murdered. Growing up without knowledge of his true legacy, everything changes when he pulls a certain sword out of a stone.
The production certainly looks to be large in scale, and the energy is high, but it’s a little hard to get a proper grasp on what we can expect here. For now, this looks like a relatively familiar Ritchie project, which will hopefully provide a fun time at the movies.
King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, also starring Jude Law, Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, Djimon Hounsou, Aidan Gillen, and Eric Bana, will arrive in Australia on March 23, 2017 and hits the U.S. on March 24, 2017.
