Take a look at the new trailer to arrive for The King’s Man, the upcoming prequel that gives us a look at how intelligence agency The Kingsman got started during WWI.
Ralph Fiennes is essentially taking on the type of role that Colin Firth had the first film, playing Duke of Oxford, who unveils the first independent intelligence agency to a young man (Harris Dickinson) keen to stop the baddies during this time of war. The cast includes Gemma Arterton, Djimon Hounsou, Daniel Brühl, Stanley Tucci, Matthew Goode, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Rhys Ifans.
Matthew Vaughn stays in the director’s chair after having helmed the first two films in the franchise. The first film was a fun, refreshingly non-PC blockbuster hit, while the second failed to capture the magic again. Fingers crossed for this film, which looks good, although I personally would have preferred to go elsewhere in this world with another sequel as opposed to going back. Still, the action is looking very slick and the cast is great. Let’s go.
The King’s Man will be in Australia cinemas on February 13 and US cinemas on February 14.
