Lionsgate

A highly enticing new trailer and a number of character posters have arrived for Knives Out, an upcoming murder whodunit from writer-director Rian Johnson (The Last Jedi, Looper, Brick).

In the vein of Agatha Christie’s mystery novels, Knives Out finds Daniel Craig looking into the suspicious death of a wealthy crime novelist (Christopher Plummer). He suspects foul play, and begins looking the author’s dysfunctional family and devoted stuff to figure out the truth.

Praise-filled reviews came from the film’s Toronto International Film Festival premiere, boding very well for what looks like a very fun mystery with a great ensemble. If you’re one of the Johnson naysayers wanting to skip this solely because of The Last Jedi, perhaps give it may be safe to give it a chance as it’s far from that property? Duno. We can’t wait to see this one.

Knives Out, also starring Chris Evans, Ana De Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Don Johnson, Michael Shannon, Toni Collette, LaKeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford and Jaeden Martell, hits US cinemas on November 27 and arrives in Australia on November 28.
