Apple TV+ has released the official trailer for KPOPPED, a new eight-part series where Western pop icons and K-pop stars join forces—and then go head-to-head—in a fast-paced, high-gloss song battle. Megan Thee Stallion and PSY lead the charge as hosts, executive producers, and general chaos conductors, with performances set to unfold in front of live crowds in Seoul. All episodes drop in August.

More on Screen Realm:
Pop hits, reimagined (sometimes wildly)
Each episode sees one Western artist teaming up with a K-pop act to rework a familiar hit—with limited time to rehearse, questionable comfort zones, and zero room to hide. After each “K-popped” performance, the live audience votes for a winner, and the K-pop group closes out the night with their own set.
The list of artists is frankly a bit surreal—in a good way. On the Western side: Megan Thee Stallion, Patti LaBelle, J Balvin, Spice Girls’ Mel B and Emma Bunton, Kylie Minogue, TLC, Boyz II Men, Vanilla Ice, Kesha, Eve, and more. Matching them step for step are K-pop favourites including ITZY, ATEEZ, Kep1er, STAYC, and BLACKSWAN.
Some of the unexpected pairings and tracks include:
- Megan Thee Stallion and Billlie remixing “Savage”
- Vanilla Ice and Kep1er tackling “Ice Ice Baby”
- J Balvin and ATEEZ going for “Mi Gente”
- TLC and STAYC joining up for “Waterfalls”
- Boyz II Men and BLACKSWAN closing with “Motownphilly” and “End of the Road”
Other tracks getting the K-pop treatment include “Wannabe,” “Lady Marmalade,” “Let Me Blow Ya Mind,” and “Can’t Get You Out of My Head.” The trailer teases a blend of slick stage production, some eyebrow-raising collaborations, and reimagined versions of hits you probably didn’t expect to see in the same show.
Behind the show
Servant and Search Party actor Soojeong Son hosts the series, which is executive produced by Megan Thee Stallion, PSY, Lionel Richie, and Miky Lee, along with a stacked production team from CJ ENM and Eureka Productions.
Release date
KPOPPED premieres globally on Apple TV+ on Friday, August 29, with all eight episodes available to binge from day one.
