The first trailer has been unveiled for The LEGO Ninjago Movie, the upcoming animated feature that continues on the franchise that kicked off with 2014’s hugely successful The LEGO Movie and follows up with the currently-rolling out The LEGO Batman Movie.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie tells of young Master Builder Lloyd (Dave Franco) and his buddies, who happen to be secret ninja warriors. They’re called into action when the evil Garmadon (Justin Theroux), Lloyd’s dad, threatens Ninjago City.

Warner Bros. seems to be onto a winner with this expanding universe (LEGO Batman is opening to strong reviews), and more fun looks to be in offer in Ninjago. Check out the trailer below.

Featuring a voice cast that also includes Fred Armisen, Abbi Jacobson, Olivia Munn, Kumail Nanjiani, Michael Peña, Zach Woods, and Jackie Chan, The LEGO Ninjago movie arrives in Australia on September 21 and hits the US on September 22.
