‘Logan Lucky’ Trailer: Channing Tatum & Daniel Craig in Steven Soderbergh’s New Heist Movie

The first trailer has dropped for Logan Lucky, the upcoming caper comedy that reunites Magic Mike director Steven Soderbergh with Channing Tatum.

Following Ocean’s 11, 12 and 13, Soderbergh is back in heist mode with a picture about two brothers (Tatum & Adam Driver) who decide to execute a robbery during a big NASCAR race. Daniel Craig plays Joe Bang, a burly, blond-haired criminal who is brought in to help the brothers with the heist.

This brings about the end to Soderbergh’s “retirement” from the big screen, which lasted a total of four years. It looks like a good bit of fun, with one hell of cast – including Katie Holmes, Hilary Swank, Katherine Waterston, Seth MacFarlane, Riley Keough and Sebastian Stan – in quirky character mode. That being said, hopefully we’re not spending time with a group of one-note caricatures.

Logan Lucky will arrive in Australia on August 17 and hits US cinemas on August 18.

Official synopsis for Logan Lucky:

Trying to reverse a family curse, brothers Jimmy (Channing Tatum) and Clyde Logan (Adam Driver) set out to execute an elaborate robbery during the legendary Coca-Cola 600 race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. The production shot at Charlotte Motor Speedway during the actual NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 and the Bank of America 500, as well as at Atlanta Motor Speedway. In a fun twist, six NASCAR stars pop up in non-driver cameo roles in the film
