Louis C.K. to Release Directorial Debut on Website

Louis C.K.

Louis C.K. appeared in a number of films last year, including Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmine and David O’Russell’s American Hustle, but many may be surprised to learn that he has directed two feature films. Louis directed Pootie Tang, a comedy that featured Chris Rock, back in 2001, but his directorial debut, made in 1998, never saw the light of day. Fans of the comedian will be thankful to find out that he will be releasing Tomorrow Night on his website LouisCK.net. He made the announcement during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, stating that the film will be available for just $5.

Tomorrow Night, which boasted a decent cast, including J.B. Smoove, Amy Poehler, Nick DiPaulo, Rick Shapiro, Robert Smigel, Steve Carell, Todd Barry, Matt Besser, Matt Walsh, Wanda Sykes and Ian Roberts, told the story of Charles (Chuck Sklar), the owner of a photo-shop.

According to IMDB:

Charles is the owner of a photo-shop. He is not too friendly and spends his evenings alone, and one day he finally decides to get a social life. He meets elderly Florence, who is tormented by her gambling husband Lester and longs for the son Willie she hasn’t seen or heard of for 20 years.
