Take a look at the first trailer to arrive for Lucy in the Sky, an upcoming drama starring Natalie Portman.
Directed and co-written by Noah Hawley, the creative genius behind series Fargo and Legion, Lucy in the Sky tells of an astronaut (Portman) who begins to slowly unravel and lose touch with reality after returning to Earth from a life-changing mission in space.
It’s a simple plotline, but one that you can imagine could have some big surprises in store. Could she simply be losing it? Or perhaps there’s something else at play? It’s a great trailer, showing off stand-out imagery and a highly intriguing tone. We’re very keen to see more.
Reese Witherspoon was originally set to star in the film, which was originally titled Pale Blue Dot, but dropped out when scheduling clashed with the second season of HBO’s Big Little Lies. Witherspoon remained the film’s producer, alongside Hawley, Bruna Papandrea (Gone Girl, Big Little Lies), and John Cameron (Fargo, Legion).
Lucy in the Sky, also starring Jon Hamm, Zazie Beets, Pearl Amanda Dickson and Ellen Burstyn, will be hitting be hitting cinemas soon. No official release date announced as yet.
