We’ve had a clip with Luke Cage taking down some bad guys, and now we’re given our first solid look at the big bad himself.

Netflix has dropped a new clip from their highly anticipated Marvel series, giving us a look at the show’s primary villain, Mahershala Ali’s (House of Cards) Cornell Stokes, aka Cottonmouth.

We’ve already exclaimed how excited we are for this one, the third Marvel hero to be given their own series in the company’s team-up with Netflix. Daredevil has been downright phenomenal, and while Jessica Jones wasn’t quite on par, at least in this writer’s opinion, it was nevertheless decent television. Everything we’ve seen of Luke Cage thus far provides assurance and excitement, and the early reviews even more so. We. Can’t. Wait.

The countdown is on, folks. All 13 eps of Luke Cage season 1 will be hitting Netflix on September 30 (U.S. date).

Synopsis for Luke Cage:

After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city – forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.
