Luke Evans is certainly getting busy. Not only is he playing the lead villain in Fast & Furious 6, the lead in Dracula Year Zero, and Bard the Bowman in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, but now the ever reliable Deadline has reported that he will be headlining the reboot of The Crow.
The film is to be directed by F. Javier Gutiérrez, who was noticed with his debut Spanish film Before The Fall. Production of the reboot will begin early next year in order to accommodate Luke Evans’ busy schedule.
The original film was directed by Alex Proyas and was released in 1994. The role was originated by Brandon Lee, who died tragically during production.
