We now have the four actors set to portray The Defenders.

Iron Fist is set to lead his own MarvelNetflix series following on from Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, and it looks like we have our lead.

EW is reporting that Finn Jones, known for playing Loras Tyrell in HBO’s Game of Thrones, has been cast as Daniel Rand, aka Iron Fist, a crimefighter skilled in the art of Kung Fu.

Created in 1974, Iron Fist is depicted as a martial arts expert who takes on NYC’s bad guys with his many abilities, including that of the Iron Fist, a mystical technique that provides him with super strength, telepathy and, of course, enhanced healing. The series will see him arriving back in New York after years away.

We’ve got quite a busy line up for this so-far successful Marvel-Netflix team-up. Daredevil season 2 is set to hit Netflix on March 18, Jessica Jones has been renewed for season 2, the first season of Luke Cage is expected to drop this year, followed by Iron Fist and the Avengers-style outing that is The Defenders. And it’s safe to assume that Luke Cage and Iron Fist will both be receiving second seasons as well.

Marvel and Netflix recently signed up Dexter executive producer Scott Buck as Iron Fist‘s showrunner.
