Marvel has unveiled a proudly gory official trailer for the animated series Marvel Zombies, a four-episode spin-off of the What If…Zombies?! episode from the What If…? anthology series. Take a look at the trailer above and learn more below.
This corner of the Marvel universe finds the Avengers overtaken by a zombie plague. “Who will save us from our heroes?” is the question put forth in the trailer, as undead versions of Captain America, Hawkeye, the Dora Milaje, and more wreak havoc across a dystopian landscape. It’s a bloody-looking chapter that doesn’t hold back on the carnage; it’s not every day you see Spider-Man use his webs to rip off a wave of zombie heads. Blade is also here — although he’s voiced by Todd Williams, not by Mahershala Ali (are we ever getting that Mahershala Blade movie?!).

It’s a star-studded voice line-up, including Florence Pugh, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Hailee Steinfeld, David Harbour, Tessa Thompson, Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Wyatt Russell, Randall Park, Iman Vellani, and Dominique Thorne, among others.
The series was created by Bryan Andrews (supervising director and writer on What If…?) and Zeb Wells (one of the writers of Deadpool & Wolverine). Executive producers include Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt, Bryan Andrews and Zeb Wells, with Danielle Costa and Carrie Wassenaar attached as producers.
Marvel Zombies will be released on Disney+ on September 24.
