Prime Video is officially diving deeper into the Creed universe. Announced during Amazon’s upfront presentation in New York City, a new live-action series titled Delphi has been ordered—marking the first television extension of the boxing franchise that began with Rocky and found new life with Creed.
Returning to Delphi
Set at the Delphi Boxing Academy—the storied gym where Apollo Creed trained—the series will follow a new generation of fighters coming up through the same sweat-soaked floors that shaped legends. The gym, now run by Tony “Little Duke” Evers, son of Creed’s original trainer, has long been a core location in the Creed films.

Michael B. Jordan, who starred as Adonis Creed in all three Creed films and directed Creed III, returns as executive producer under his Outlier Society banner. Speaking on stage at the Amazon presentation, Jordan said:
“The series that takes us back to where it all began. What I love about this story is that it stays true to what the Rocky and Creed franchise is all about: hard work, determination, fighting for something bigger than yourself. It’s about family, the ones we’re born into and the ones that we created. We’re building something special here, and I’m excited to introduce you to new fighters that will walk into the Delphi. As always, in Creed we say, one step, one round, one punch at a time.”
Showrunner duties will fall to Marco Ramirez (Daredevil, The Defenders, La Máquina), who will also serve as executive producer alongside Jordan and Liz Raposo for Outlier Society. Winkler Films’ Irwin Winkler, David Winkler, and Charles Winkler, longtime stewards of the Rocky and Creed brands, are also on board as executive producers.
Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, spoke about what the project represents:
“Expanding the captivating Creed universe for our global Prime Video audience is a dream come true. Showrunner Marco Ramirez and executive producer Michael B. Jordan are crafting something exceptional for both longtime fans of the Creed franchise and newcomers alike.”
No date, but big plans
A premiere date has yet to be announced, and casting details remain under wraps. When it does arrive, Delphi will be available in over 240 countries and territories on Prime Video.
The series is part of Amazon’s broader strategy to capitalise on MGM’s IP following its $8.5 billion acquisition of the studio. Alongside Delphi, the studio has greenlit franchise extensions such as Elle (a Legally Blonde prequel), Barbershop, Carrie, and a Tomb Raider series.
Across three films, the Creed franchise has grossed over $660 million globally. The most recent film, Creed III, was not only Jordan’s directorial debut, it became the highest-grossing instalment in the entire Rocky/Creed saga, pulling in $275 million worldwide and achieving the biggest domestic opening ever for a sports movie.
