Many had high hopes for Creed, the seventh film in the Rocky franchise and the first to introduce Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Creed. Luckily, the film hasn’t disappointed, opening to strong box office and a very positive reception (currently with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 92%).
While we’re still some time away from final box office numbers, it isn’t hard to imagine New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. would want to jump on a follow-up. If they do, it looks like Jordan is on board.
“A character so rich as this, and the world he’s in, I want to see what happens to him next and what he does,” Jordan said an interview with Associated Press.
“Especially the way it ends off, it’s pretty cool. I think with success and time and circumstances, it would be exciting to come back and work with (co-stars) Sly (Stallone) and Tessa (Thompson) again.”
Creed opened in the U.S. on November 25 and in Australia on November 26. You can find our review right HERE.
