Trippy New ‘Midnight Gospel’ Trailer Unveils a Crazy Netflix Series from ‘Adventure Time’ Creator

W.T.F. is what comes to mind here.

Check out the big new trailer that Netflix has released for upcoming animated series The Midnight Gospel, from Adventure Time creator Pendleton Ward and his longtime collaborator Duncan Trussell. The plot follows Clancy, who decides he’s going to host a spacecast – using a malfunctioning multiverse simulator – and interview beings living in dying worlds.

It’s a seriously craaaazy-looking show – and it could be brilliant. With psychedelic visuals and doses of Adventure Time and Rick and Morty, and all other manner of trippy influences (director Alejandro Jodorowsky comes to mind), this could be one that gathers a strong following. Mark the date: The Midnight Gospel hits Netflix on April 20. 4/20, get it?
